up close and personal.

my last post was brief and incomplete. i hoped that opening the page and starting to write would help the words come even though it didn’t feel quite ready. maybe next time.

today i’m a little glum and melancholy.
contemplative.
reflective.

something unexpected happened this morning that was both relieving and depressing.

tomorrow is a big day for me personally, but i don’t want to write about it until it’s over. maybe husband and i will go get our christmas tree tonight.

i walked around the apartment a little while ago taking pictures of things i was drawn to. as you’ll see, i wanted to zoom in on each of my subjects; taking in details, showing things in ways we might not always notice even though they are part of our lives every day. i think it’s just what kind of mood i’m in; deep in thought and ready to get up close and personal with everything about my life.

I have been thinking a lot about my life lately as well…and I’m starting to feel that need to change things up. Personally, I sometimes love those melancholy days. Especially when they are paired with the right kind of music. BTW, love your photos!!
